Alitalia through the years

Alitalia has served as Italy’s national airline for 74 years, but experienced more than its share of financial challenges and troubles over the years. It has been in extraordinary administration for the past 4 years. In August, Alitalia announced it would cease operations in October, with Italia Trasporto Aereo (ITA) becoming the successor airline.

Flightradar24 fact — Over the past 10 years, the most tracked flight number on Flightradar24 was AZ4000, the flight number used when the Pope travels from Italy.
